I am a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment and defender of Arizona’s values. My family has lived in this district for four generations, and gun ownership is an important part of our heritage and way of life. I am deeply committed to defending the freedoms and preserving the rights of Greater Arizonans. I will fight any attempt by the federal government to undermine the Second Amendment and infringe on our Constitutional right to bear arms. During my first term in Congress, I adamantly opposed an effort to reinstate the assault weapons ban and successfully passed an amendment endorsed by the Gun Owners of America that protected the rights of law-abiding gun owners in national parks. I also served as a co-sponsor of the National Right to Carry Reciprocity Act because I believe that legal gun owners should not lose their rights if they travel outside of their home state. I pledge to stand up to the White House and Congressional Leadership to protect the rights of gun owners throughout our great Nation.
